Trees of Angelina
This series was taken late one rainy wintry day in eastern Texas, January 2001. As I approached Angelina National Forest, I realized I was about to witness a special moment in time. The sky was full of low hanging clouds, the rain had just stopped, a fog had appeared, and there was a blue haze in the air.
I parked my car, put on some boots and started my adventure. I carefully crossed through mud and shallow water, while carrying my camera case over one shoulder, and my tripod in the other hand. Mud sticking to my boots, I treaded forward over the ground. The dam had recently just been released and the ground I walked on had been a lake. The site I saw resulted in these surreal photographs.
